On Sunday, September 6th Killarney Rugby Club held our first ever Open Day at our brand new pitches in Aghadoe. We wanted to welcome players, parents, supporters, sponsors and friends to view our wonderful new pitches, have fun and enjoy a great day at Aghadoe. Even the weather played it’s part as we enjoyed the best day of the summer!
A fantastic fun filled day was had by all. With fun filled family races, slides, mini rugby games and a Punch and Judy Show (shown), there was tonnes of entertainment for everyone!
Our minis turned out in their droves to enjoy the big day. Denis Corridan kept the kids entertained and ensured they had fun on what turned out to be the sunniest and warmest day of the year!
Another highlight on the day was the huge raffle. With some amazing spot prizes, the luckiest kid had to be Johnny Willoughby, who won a helicopter ride with his family, over the lakes of Killarney.
This years Girls only ‘Give It A Try’ programme kicks off on this evening the 23rd of April next at Aghadoe, running for 8 weeks. Aimed at introducing girls aged between 8 and 14 years of age to rugby, fun is guaranteed during this fantastic 8 week programme devised by the IRFU.
