Minis are back this Saturday:
KRFC are delighted to announce that the minis section will start back training this Saturday, the 29th of August. Mini Rugby takes place between 10:30am and 12 midday at our new grounds in Aghadoe. All children from age 5 to 11 are welcome to come along and learn to play the wonderful game of rugby in a wonderful setting and with fully trained and experienced coaches.Training consists of the players taking part in drills, and games that teach and prepare the child the skills needed to play at the top level. This is part of the long term player development strategy devised by the IRFU `Six to 6 Nations` programme, and `Mini Rugby – “growing from 6 to 6 nations”. There is a schedule of Blitzes also, which will allow us to either host matches or travel to other clubs to play matches, across the season. If you are interested in having your child play rugby, why not call to our pitch this saturday. Tickets are available for the forthcoming season to members, for the 6 nations and European Rugby Cup. If you would like to discuss your ticket requirements, give Denis a call at 087-2315016 or pop into Denis at Sweets N’Treats on New street, Killarney.
Moss Keane Blitz:
This Saturday afternoon, KRFC will host the Moss Keane Senior Blitz where all the rugby clubs in Kerry partake for this trophy. Proceedings kick off at around 1pm and all are welcome to come to our new pitch and enjoy the day.
Family Day:
The KRFC Family day takes pace on Sunday the 06th of September at Aghadoe, between 1 and 5pm. This plans to be a great day out for all the family. All past members, existing members, mini, youth and senior players and their families are welcome as well as anyone who wants to pop along and see what our new facility is like. We will have bouncy castles, a barbeque and there will be fun for all. Keep posted to our facebook page or web page www.krfc.club for details.
Best of luck to our U18 boys who take on Rugbai Chorca Dhuibhne in the U18 West Munster Cup final this Sunday. Kick off at O’Dowd Park (Tralee RFC) is at 2:30pm and all support very welcome. Good luck to all players, coaches and team management.
