Killarney Rugby Club cordially invites you and the family to join us at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium, on Saturday July 23rd from 7.00pm. This year’s event will be very different. We will have a series of relay races where our under age stars from the Mini Rugby will tear up the track with super speed over a series of challenge races. Everyone who has been to a night at the dogs knows that it is a thrill-a-minute evening and now we have added more fun with the kids battling it out around the track. A super family night is planned and we anticipate a great crowd on the night.
We will have 11 races, one of which is a Buster Race. With 6 dogs in a race, there are 720 possible combinations of what order the dogs can finish the race, 236451, etc. Buster tickets have the order of the finishers pre-printed on tickets and these will be on sale from club members prior to and on the night at the gate. Buster tickets will be €20 and will include a family entry to the track plus a programme and entry into the Buster race – the winner of the race with the winning combination gets €500! General admission tickets will be just €10.
We are currently looking for sponsors of the races; for €500 you can sponsor a race and get to present the winning dog and owner with their prize. You can sponsor a dog for €100. We also are selling ads in the Racecard for €100 for full page and €60 for half a page ads. We have had brilliant support in the past and welcome support for this event again. The novelty of the kids racing will add to the excitement and we will have entertainment for families throughout the evening. Buses to and from Tralee will also be arranged closer to the time.

The Night at the Dogs turned out to be a superb fundraiser for our club with great fun for all the family. We are in a critical position with funds presently and have many very generous supporters who need to be paid for their help in building our fabulous facility in Aghadoe. So we are really looking forward to a great response and make this one of the best fun nights of the summer and a real family night. Tickets will be on sale from our teams of ticket sellers and all members will be encouraging you to come and join us. Go on, you’ve always promised yourself to go and see what all the craic is about so why not join us.

Best of luck to our U18 boys who take on Rugbai Chorca Dhuibhne in the U18 West Munster Cup final this Sunday. Kick off at O’Dowd Park (Tralee RFC) is at 2:30pm and all support very welcome. Good luck to all players, coaches and team management.
