Our U18.5 boys scored a fourth consecutive win in their conference to secure entry into the Munster Cup in Phase 2 of the competition.
Killarmey led 14-0 at half time through tries by Alex O’Leary and Ciaran Doyle. Finn Kennelly added 2 conversions. In the 2nd half, Killarney added a try from Stephen Dalton converted by Gearóid Sugrue.
Desmond – a combination of Abbeyfeale and Newcastlewest struck back to reduce the lead to 21-7. a mix up in the Desmond defence lead to Tom Chambers scoring to push the Killarney lead out to 19 points. Desmond got a late converted try to reduce the deficit to 26-14, but Killarney saw the game out.
