 In Club

This St. Patrick’s weekend promises to be another busy weekend for our club with no less than 3 teams competing in cup semi finals! Another historic weekend on the cards for the club, with 2 home ties and 1 away tie, with our U16 girls, U18 girls and Seniors in semifinal action in their own respective cups.

First up, our U16 girls amalgamated side of Killarney/Iveragh/Listowel host Cork’s Midleton/Youghal in the Bank of Ireland U16 Girls Munster Cup semifinal at Aghadoe. Kick off is at 11am in this the third round fixture for the girls who beat Bruff in the first round and Ennis in the second round two weeks ago. Best of luck to all the girls and coaches.

Next up our U18 girls aim to follow on from winning the U18 Munster league with a successful run in the Cup. The girls head west to Bantry this Saturday to take on the amalgmation of Dunmanyway/Bantry in what promises to be a cracker. The girls beat Dolphin at Virgin Media Park in the last round. Kick off at Bantry is at 12pm and all support very welcome. Best of luck one and all.

Then on Sunday, our Seniors take on Rugbai Chorca Dhuibhne in the semi final of this years Martin O’Sullivan Cup. The lads beat Killorglin at Aghadoe in December in the previous round, while RCD beat Ennis to reach the semi final. Kick off at Aghadoe is at 2pm, so be sure to pop along and support the lads. Best of luck to the players, coaches and team management.

Finally on bank holiday Monday, our combined Castleisland/Killarney U14 girls side compete in their own semifinal. The girls host Midleton/Youghal at Crageens in Castleisland on Monday at 12:30pm in the U14 girls development cup, another historic day for girls rugby in Killarney. Best of luck to all the girls and coaches.
